I'm New!

So you say you're new here. Then allow me the privilege of showing you around a little. First park your car in one of our “visitor” spaces reserved for you. They’re located immediately to the right as you enter our parking lot, just beyond the handicapped parking. There, you’ll find our main entrance. Just follow the crowd.

If your looking for a small group, then join us for what is traditionally called Sunday School. There’s a class for your children and a group for you, too. Pick up the brochure in the lobby or check out each group at the ministries tab, then ask the greeter to show you the way. Our building is somewhat confusing and even I need help finding my way at times. These groups begin at 9:30AM. Following our learning classes, there’s always time for some fellowship, a cup of java or OJ, and something sweet, before heading to the sanctuary for worship.

We hold our worship service at 11:00AM. It’s a blended service that combines the great hymns of faith and contemporary songs of praise and worship. There’s always some special music provided by one of our choirs. And children enjoy a special time with the pastor during “The Brown Bag” or “Puppets Of Praise.” “Lofty Places,” our Children's Church, begins in the middle of this service; it is held in a classroom below the sanctuary. Of course, we have many options for child care, including “Noah’s Ark” (a well-staffed nursery) and “Lullaby Lounge” (a quiet room where parents can still be a part of the service).

On Wednesday night you can meet someone new during our mid-week Dinner, Prayer Meeting, and Bible Study. It all starts with a home-cooked meal at 6:00pm, followed by our Study at 7:00PM. Currently we are looking at the early years of the Church through a study in the book of Acts.

Check out our Welcome Center, located in the main lobby, to see what mission opportunities are upcoming.

Do you like to sing? We will get you connected with one of our Choirs. Techno savvy? Come and participate on the Sound Team. Let me know what your love is and we will find a place for you to be involved. Care to be of service? We’re a hands-on congregation, with multiple programs of outreach, including our Food Pantry, the Emergency Shelter Ministry, and “Make A Difference Day”.

I'm so glad you came. Make yourself at home and visit the whole site. And if you have any questions I will try to answer them. Just write at praisegod@fbcdover.org
