First Baptist Church understands the importance of Higher Christian Education. Through it’s annual budget, the church supports several schools affiliated with the American Baptist Churches, USA.
For 140 years, Alderson-Broaddus College has been providing a quality education for its students. Overlooking the picturesque Tygart River Valley in Philippi, West Virginia, Alderson-Broaddus College students learn and grow in a faith-based learning community. Deeply rooted in the liberal arts, Alderson-Broaddus College is a health-related and professional educational institution. Alderson-Broaddus College is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches, USA, the West Virginia Baptist Convention, and the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.
Bacone College
Bacone College is a four-year liberal arts college affiliated with the American Baptist Churches, USA, embracing an historic educational mission with American Indians. Since its doors opened in 1880 the college has been serving students from all regions, nations, and walks of life. Bacone is the oldest college of continuous education in the State of Oklahoma.
Eastern University

Palmer Theological Seminary
Palmer Theological Seminary was founded in 1925 as Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Originally located on Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, it moved in 1940 to its present location in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, just across the street from the city boundary. Over the years, the Seminary has been best known for combining evangelical theology with the affirmation of women in ministry and commitment to social justice and ethnic diversity. The Seminary’s values are captured by its founding motto, “The Whole Gospel for the Whole World.”
